When our brother Bruce was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 21, we were devastated. But we also knew that he had the kind of positive attitude that would help him fight that vicious disease. That spirit carried him through 10 years of struggles and treatments but sadly Bruce died on his 31st birthday in 1988.
From that day on our parents, Walter and Elinor, asked that in lieu of flowers anyone wanting to pay their respects could donate toward worthy causes in his name. With that goal in mind, together with Toronto Foundation, we established the Bruce Beauchamp Memorial Fund. All these years later, our fund is one of the Foundation’s most active family funds.
Helping others in the community is a fitting tribute to Bruce’s generosity of spirit, which touched everyone he met. We urge you to find that spirit of generosity in yourself and click here to donate on Bruce’s behalf.
